How to Set Up and Install Your Kudobuzz Shoppable UGC Widget on Shopify

This guide will walk you through:

• Enabling the app embed.
• Installing your first widget.
• Adding additional widgets to your Shopify store.

Step 1: Enable the App Embed

Before your UGC widgets can appear on your storefront, you must first enable the Kudobuzz app embed.

When you install the app, you will see a yellow banner asking you to enable the app embed.

To enable it:

1. Click Enable App Embed.

2. You will be redirected to your Shopify Theme Editor.

3. Click Save and close the theme editor.

The app embed must be enabled for your UGC widgets to display properly on your store.

Step 2: Install Your First Widget

Once the app embed is enabled, the next step is to install your widget.

To install the default widget:

1. Click Create Widget.

2. You will see a default widget already available.

3. Click the three dots (⋮) beside the widget.

4. Select Install.

5. Copy the Widget ID.

Now, add the Widget ID to Your Theme Editor

1. Open the Shopify Theme Editor by clicking on Got it, open Theme Editor.

2. Locate the Kudobuzz widget inside the editor.

3. Click or double-click the widget block inside the editor. A sidebar/settings panel will open.

4. Paste your Widget ID into the field provided.

5. Click Save.

Tip: You may need to click the widget twice for the sidebar/settings panel to appear.

Step 3: Add Additional Widgets

You can also create and install more widgets on different pages of your store.

To add another widget:

1. Click Add Widget.

2. Select the widget type from the dropdown menu.

3. Choose the page where you want the widget to appear on your store.

4. Click Save Widget.

After saving:

1. Click the three dots (⋮) beside the new widget and select install.

2. Copy the new Widget ID.

3. Select Open Theme Editor.

4. Paste the Widget ID into the widget settings panel.

5. Click Save.

Repeat these steps for any additional widgets you want to install.
